Understand the scope.
A stuck cylinder, failed connecting part and bolt or alignment problem can require different work. Describe whether the key enters, turns or moves the bolt. Ask which condition was found and whether cleaning, service, alignment work or replacement is appropriate for that hardware, including any limits to the assessment.
